AAUS announces prize winners in the Best Translation category!

The AAUS is pleased to announce that the following translations were recognized in this year's competition in the Best Translation category. For this round, works published in 2020 and 2021 were considered. We are delighted to congratulate the winners and we thank members of the selection committees for their hard work. The AAUS plans to honor the prize winners at the AAUS business meeting that will be held during this year’s ASEEES Convention in Chicago.

Winner: Ali Kinsella and Dzvinia Orlowsky for their translation of "Eccentric Days of Hope and Sorrow" by Natalka Bilotserkivets (Lost Horse Press, 2021).

Honorable mention: Oksana Maksymchuk, Max Rosochinsky, and Svetlana Lavochkina for their translation of "Apricots of Donbas" by Lyuba Yakimchuk (Lost Horse Press, 2021).
